How to install Photoshop actions
The technical way:
go to Edit>Preset Manager. A window will pop up. Choose the type of item you would like to install in the Preset Type menu and click the Load button. Located the file for the item you wish to install. It will immediately appear in the palette in the pop-up window. Click Done when you are finished and your new items will be ready for use from their respective palettes.


The super extremely easy way:
Unzip your actions and store them in a folder somewhere, open the folder, open photoshop. drag the action into the photoshop window. guess what. all done! This also works with brushes,styles,etc.

When using an action that requires a template
The action will instruct you or open a window for you to open the template for the action.


Notes and tips
Some of the actions (the 72dpi mainly) the action flattens your working image and does not save a copy of the layered file, so simply open a blank document to save your work as a layer.

I use actions alllll day. To save time, I delete the comments and instructions included within the action itself to save some time and clicking. But always be sure to save an original copy of the action in case!
